ABOUT
We are a group of individuals who share a passion for the cultural, culinary and wine traditions of the Republic of Georgia. Taste Georgia was born after the co-founder and owner Sarah May Grunwald attended a wine conference in Tbilisi and became fascinated with the hospitality of the Georgian people, the ancient qvevri wine making traditions and the delicious regional food. Sarah and her partner in Georgia decided they wanted to share this bewitching culture with travelers and so Taste Georgia was born, on the philosophy that culture is best experienced at the table.
OUR TEAM
Between our co founders and guides we have over 40 years of collective experience in hospitality industry. We also share a passion for wine and food that has translated into multiple professional international wine certifications and chef certifications as well as multiple higher degrees in the humanities and even one MBA. Our service providers range from internationally trained chefs, local grandmas who teach local and regional food traditions, small producers and family owned wineries.
